How long does credit repair take? We cannot guarantee a specific time because every case is different. If depends on your current credit status. We average 35% of all negative items removed in the first 45-60 days. Our average over a 6 month period is 80% of all negative items removed. (return to top)
What is the procedure for removing negative credit items? We force the three major credit bureaus and each original creditor to comply with federal law by demanding that they provide the documentation required for them to report a negative item on your report. If they cannot do so, we force them to remove the item. Most companies either do not have the information required, or they simply do not bother to respond to our demands, thus the item must be removed. Our company follows up to make sure the item(s) is/are removed. (return to top)
Once an item is removed, can it return to the credit report? No, it cannot unless you are notified via a "Donning Letter". Once the negative account is removed it can never return according the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). However, an account can return to the credit report if it is sold to a third party collection agency. Our company guarantees, for two years, an item will not return to the credit report, even if it is sold to a third party collection agency. (return to top)
What can you do for me? Just about any item on the report is removable. The most difficult items are federal and state tax liens and child support attachments, the relatively easier items to legally remove are repossessions, foreclosures, charge-offs, medical bills, late payments, civil judgements and bankruptcies. What makes you different from the other credit repair companies? Besides forcing the original creditors to produce the documentation required by federal law as well as the three major credit bureaus, you are aware of every transaction that goes on, in our offices, that pertains to your account. This is a team effort! We send you pre-addresses, stamped envelopes with prepared letters for your personal endorsement. This allow you to see what is being sent on your behalf and to whom. Do you dispute with all three consumer reporting agencies (CRA's)? Yes we do when it is called for, often times disputes may best be handled by going to the original creditor. When necessary, we will dispute items with Experian, Equifax and TransUnion. (return to top)
If I pay off old negative accounts, will they disappear from my credit reports and will my score increase? No! Do not pay off old accounts just yet. They will be reported as "paid charge-off" and will do very little to increase your credit score. We will attempt to negotiate with the creditor and possibly have them removed, if it is paid off, there is still a possibility to have it removed. Our company's goal is to remove the item from the credit report completely. (return to top)
How long will an item remain on my credit report? The specific time that any item on your report will vary. If uncontested, a credit item (positive or negative) will remain on your report for seven years, after the day of last activity, a bankruptcy for ten years, a paid tax lien for fifteen years and an unpaid tax lien for infinity. Where can I get my Credit Report(s)? You can obtain a free credit report every 12 months from each of the consumer reporting agencies by visiting www.annualcreditreport.com. We suggest that you pull only one to start with and pull the others after you have started your credit work. (return to top)
